Funding for Wild life Conservation

Wild life plays a very important role in maintaining the ecological balance. With reduction in forest cover and the human greed to exploit animal, Wildlife Conservation has become a necessity. Ashivardam supports wildlife conservation activities through funds and grants to NGOs, socially responsible organizations and individuals working towards this cause.Resources and funds are being provided for Human Elephant conflict mitigation in western India to the following NGOs:  

1. Asian Nature Conservation Foundation (ANCF): A Bangalore based NGO working for this great cause since the past 30 years. MOU is signed  to conduct study and project to be initiated in the Hosur region of the Eastern Ghats landscape of southern India.

2. A Rocha India: An associate of International organizations working towards wild life and animal conservation and protection. MOU signed to conduct study and initiate action in The Bannerghatta National Park forest measuring up total effective area to be approx. 256km2.

3. Last Wilderness Foundation: The NGO has conducted successful awareness programme for more than 600 local children and teachers at Bandipur Tiger reserve spreading alertness about wildlife protection. This NGO has worked for wild life and nature protection both. View Report

4. World Wildlife Foundation (WWF-India): MOU has been signed for Addressing Human Elephant Conflict in the Western Ghats of Nilgiris Landscape, facilitating effective management and prevention of Man-Elephant conflicts.
